Madhya Pradesh is where India's tiger stories are written. Kanha's sal forests and open meadows are home to the hard-ground barasingha, while Bandhavgarh's rocky hills and old fort are known for some of the best tiger sighting chances in the country.
This trip gives you multiple jeep safaris across both parks, with early starts, experienced naturalists and time in between to rest, edit photographs and enjoy the quiet of the forest lodges.

Day 1: Jabalpur to KanhaKanha
Pickup from Jabalpur airport or station and drive about four hours to Kanha. Evening at the lodge, with a short nature walk nearby.

Day 2: Kanha safarisKanha
Morning and afternoon jeep safaris into Kanha's core zones, looking for tiger, leopard, gaur, sloth bear, dhole and barasingha.

Day 3: Kanha to BandhavgarhBandhavgarh
One last morning safari in Kanha, then drive to Bandhavgarh (about five to six hours). Evening at leisure.

Day 4: Bandhavgarh safarisBandhavgarh
Full day of safaris in Bandhavgarh's zones. The Tala zone is famous for its tigers and views of the fort.

Day 5: Bandhavgarh explorationBandhavgarh
Morning safari, then an afternoon village visit or a relaxed evening at the lodge.

Day 6: Departure via JabalpurJabalpur
Drive back to Jabalpur (about four to five hours) for your onward train or flight. A stop at Bhedaghat's marble rocks is possible.

Best time to visit
October to June. The core zones close for the monsoon, typically from July to September. March to May is hot but gives the best chance of sightings near water.

- Core-zone permits are released online and sell out early, especially for weekends and holidays. Book your dates as early as possible.
- Sightings
- Wildlife is wild. No operator can promise a tiger sighting, and we won't either.
- What to wear
- Earthy colours, layers for cold winter mornings, a hat and sunscreen in summer.
- Getting there
- Jabalpur (JLR) is the most convenient airport and railhead. Nagpur also works for Kanha.

How many safaris are included?
We plan four to six safaris depending on your dates and permit availability, and confirm the exact number in your quotation.
Can we add Pench or Satpura?
Yes. Pench fits easily before Kanha; Satpura works as a separate extension.
Are children allowed on safari?
Yes, though park rules apply. Very young children may find long safaris tiring.
Is this good for photographers?
Yes. We can plan more safaris, the same zone repeatedly or a dedicated vehicle on request.
